Full Time Job
Reporting to the VPs/Division Managers of Sales the Domestic Distribution Assistant to the Theatrical Sales team performs general support and administrative duties for the director as well as tasks for the Calabasas office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily gross collection, Box Office Report (BOR) processing, setting promo screenings, making travel arrangements, screening calls, as well as other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative assistance and key organizational support such as:
Screenings:
• Arrange promotional and press screenings for upcoming films
• Enter screenings into the Domestic Screening website
• Coordinate trade screening coverage for multiple territories and provide an RSVP list to the advertising agency
• Research and forward screening invoices to be paid in Acenza
• Set up Run of Engagement passes with theatre circuits and advertising agency
• Arrange exit surveys
Grosses:
• Track down and obtain daily missing grosses for theatres for multiple territories
• Compile matinee and midnight grosses on new film opening dates
Assist Director of Sales:
• Answer and screen a substantial number of incoming calls
• Coordinate travel arrangements
• Create reports upon request
Filing Box Office Reports:
• Responsible for processing Box Office Reports for multiple sales territories
Additional Responsibilities as assigned:
• Partake in administrative meetings
• Assist office manager with various administrative duties
• Special assignments as requested by Division managers
• Compile data to compose reports for theatre/film comparison, IMAX, etc.
Qualifications:
• A college degree preferred but not essential
• Previous film industry experience preferred but not mandatory
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
• Professional phone demeanor
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and materials
• Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. General knowledge of the box office tracking website Rentrak, is desired. Experience with Adobe Acrobat and HTML a plus
• Passionate about the Film Business and Entertainment desired but not required.
