Position Description
Under the direction of the Executive Director, Entertainment Post Production, the Associate Manager, Post Production will be responsible for implementing the technical direction of the department. Additionally the Associate Manager will assist in the research and implementation of new technology applications and innovative solutions pertaining to Post Production and File Based workflows. In addition he/she will work with client groups and other NE&O departments as well to ensure that technologies are being fully leveraged across the enterprise for optimal effectiveness and value.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and provide direction to represented daily hire and staff EIC employees in the operational areas of Tape 401, audio editing, Avid editing, Smoke finishing, and media management for FBC OAP, Special Ops and FX Network.
• Oversee the development of workflows for the receipt and delivery of content in a range of formats and physical and digital mediums that ensures that content is received and distributed according to Fox NE&O standards.
• Oversee the development of post production work flows for FBC On Air Promo, Special Ops and FX Network groups. Enforce the policies and procedures of the Fox NE&O company in addition to enforcing the adherence of guidelines and rules as detailed in trade union contracts.
• Interact with maintenance engineering to ensure all systems are operational. Provide project management assistance as assigned.
• Research and assist in developing technologies to enhance workflow efficiencies.
• Identify and inform Fox NE&O staff about any technical malfunctions or concerns that may impact scheduled work.
• Research and recommend training courses in current and forthcoming technologies for employees.
• Provide training to employees in current technologies and operational functions that pertain to their position.
• Bachelor Degree
• Outstanding verbal, written communication, presentation, and documentation skills in English required
• Strong planning and organizational skills, highly analytic and strategic capacity towards achieving short and long term organizational goals.
• Candidate must be extremely proficient with Post Production technology solutions, MAM/DAM solutions, media centric file based workflows, Work Order Systems, Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project, Keynote, and other similar software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, build consensus, and positively motivate staff and team members.
