Full Time Job
The Associate Manager will be responsible for managing day to day operations of the FOX NE&O Entertainment Post Production department. This position will provide annual capital and operations budget planning and forecasting and will act as the liaison between client groups and other NE&O departments. The Associate Manager will coordinate with FOX NE&O Senior Management to ensure that technologies are being fully leveraged across the enterprise for optimal effectiveness and value. Experience with Media Asset Management systems, file-based workflows, transcoding, deliverables, media codecs, graphics workstations, edit workstations, audio workstations, and other relevant post production technology is required.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day to day operations for FOX NE&O Entertainment Post Production.
• Manage editors, graphic artists, audio mixers and other post production related operators.
• Oversee the project management, planning, and implementation of capital and non-capital projects.
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and other financial documents; providing information and justifications for budgetary review and approval process.
• Interface with Engineering to address and resolve technical issues in an expedient manner.
• Be a source of industry knowledge and expertise in the area of post production; creating 2D and 3D graphics, render farms, media management, and file based workflows through the documentation, writing, and presentation of models, solutions, and industry trends within FOX NE&O and at industry conferences and other related venues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and documentation skills are required.
• Must have strong planning and organizational skills, highly analytic and strategic capacity towards achieving short and long term organizational goals.
• Must be proficient with applications and hardware required to create 2D and 3D motion graphics, MAM/DAM solutions, media centric file based workflows, Work Order Systems, as well as Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Keynote, and other similar software.
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, build consensus, and positively motivate staff and team members.
• Must have knowledge of graphic pipeline and associated hardware and software.
Division Description:
The Fox Networks Engineering and Operations Group (NE&O) is the group that is singularly responsible for the receipt, uplink, delivery and distribution of all networks wholly or partially owned by Fox Networks Group. NE&O is a 24/7 mission critical operation which supports business units in six (6) distinct locations – three (3) in Los Angeles, California (Pico, Playa del Rey and 1440 Sepulveda); one (1) in The Woodlands, TX; one (1) in San Francisco, CA; and one (1) in New York, NY.
