Full Time Job
The FCN Standards & Practices department is seeking an Assistant to input, track and update S&P clearances for all national Fox Cable Networks. This position communicates with various internal departments, as well as external advertising agencies, media buyers, production companies, post-production and dub facilities, and mail and package delivery vendors. Involves a high volume of data-entry-familiarity with Excel and accuracy with attention to detail are a must. Spanish language skills are a must, to assist with FCN's Spanish-language networks.
Responsibilities
• Receives, tracks and distributes materials submitted for clearance, including a high volume of scripts, storyboards, and media files, as well as time-sensitive and sometimes confidential programming and commercials.
• Maintains daily updates to tracking sheets with detailed information from preliminary clearance reports.
• Processes clearance information and communicates with various internal departments as well as outside agencies, which sometimes involves mitigating high pressure situations, while accurately and tactfully communicating S&P decisions to various parties under tight deadlines.
• Provides administrative support to Managers, Directors, and Executives, including duties such as creating and archiving documents, answering phones, filing, coordinating schedules and distributing materials.
• Assisting in the monitoring of LIVE events for English and Spanish networks (training provided).
Qualifications:
• College degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 1-3 years assistant experience within a corporate environment is strongly preferred. Knowledge of advertising production helpful.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
• Spanish-language proficiency (speaking, reading and writing) is required.
• Excellent computer skills required, including experience with PCs, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Superior data entry skills, accuracy and attention to detail are required.
• Must be a team player, and able to prioritize, work efficiently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to handle a high volume of time-sensitive tasks in an expeditious and precise manner in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess ability to handle difficult situations or people interactions diplomatically.
• The nature of the work performed may require discussion of sensitive subjects including foul language, sexual scenes, etc. that appears in advertisements and programming submitted for review.
• Must be able to work some late night and weekend shifts as required throughout the year.
