Full Time Job
Ticker AP for Fox Sports 1 will research various sports and must have an understanding of what information is relevant to specific topics, along with coming up with creative ways to display information. This person needs to be able to work with ticker CP, individual show producers, Fox Sports talent, and the copy desk to confirm all stories and statistics for authenticity. He/She must be creative when presented with show topics and how to integrate them so that they enhance the broadcast and also pay special attention to social media for other breaking stories and items that could be added to either the bottom ticker or ticker ''wing''.
Responsibilities
• Research and gather information for ticker on Fox Sports 1. Double-checking sources and scores to confirm for authenticity.
• Work with individual show producers to find ways to customize and integrate ticker into specific shows.
• Monitor social media, i.e. Twitter and Facebook for breaking news and athletes or analysts for instant response to developing stories.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year as a PA in sports television.
• Must understand relevant statistics for all sports and all terminology.
• Familiar with I-News proficient, Microsoft Outlook.
