The Legal Affairs department is seeking an entertainment attorney to provide legal support to Fox Broadcasting Company (FBC) Network business executives and operations with respect to traditional and digital marketing and promotional activities, as well as drafting, review and negotiation of a variety of content agreements related to marketing and acquisition of programming for the FBC Network. Prior experience in the area of digital marketing and social media is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, negotiate and draft digital media marketing agreements, new media ad agency agreements, marketing-related vendor agreements, digital promotions, social media campaigns (including contests, sweepstakes and giveaways) and strategic partnerships arrangements.
Negotiate and draft a variety of programming acquisition agreements, as well as other content-related agreements.
Analyze, negotiate and draft various agreements related to network operations and activities.
Analyze contracts in response to business questions, and provide contractual and research information to business executives and more senior attorneys to assist with business decisions.
Qualifications
Law degree (J.D.) required
Must be an active member of California or New York bar
Minimum of 3 years prior transactional legal experience required, preferably at a television network, studio, production company or entertainment law firm.
Must possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to perform moderate to advanced-level reasoning tasks and make common sense decisions
Familiarity with Word and Excel
Must be able to respond to and interact with senior level creative and business executives in a professional, articulate, personable and helpful manner
Must be very organized and able to manage and effectively prioritize multiple projects
