The Human Resources Director/Senior Business Partner will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partners with the Head of Human Resources to understand business objectives and identify corresponding human resource needs; develops and implements human resource strategy to support business objectives
Helps drive company-wide human resource strategies, programs, and processes into
Assists in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and programs for the entire company.
Provides policy interpretation and ensures accurate and consistent application of all company policies and procedures, and related local, state and federal laws, and applicable collective bargaining agreement(s).
Partners with operations and training functions to identify training needs, develop, and implement programs.
Assists and advises management on Human Resources issues.
Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, TEFRA, ERISA, and Wage & Hour).
Prepares information requested or required for compliance.
Oversees, handles, and manages Employee Relations issues. Assists with employee counseling, discipline, and grievance handling.
Receives and responds to employment-related claims from various government or public agencies; partners with Head of Human Resources and legal for
Reviews employee appeals through complaint procedure.
Provides necessary education and materials to employees - workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field; SPHR certification preferred.
Minimum five (5) to eight (8) years' experience across HR functions.
Experience working within a Human Resources team for a multi-regional, national or international organization. For-profit experience is a plus.
Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development.
Well-developed administrative skills.
Strong management skills-principles and people.
High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Results oriented with sound business judgment.
