Publicity Manager/Director, 3+ years of experience, preferably 5+ (Entertainment PR)
Job Description:
The Publicity Director oversees the functions of the publicity and press relations staff in support of artists & brand projects. Primarily responsible for developing a publicity campaign for the artist/brand account through collaboration with the department staff and Artist/Brand department heads, and assigns a publicist to specific projects to implement and monitor the campaign. Campaign elements include: digital marketing, publicity, SEO analytics, email marketing, social media, lifestyle marketing and other interactive tools.
The director of publicity leads department personnel to track campaigns and review reputation monitoring and press mentions of the artist. Individual will collaborate with other agency departments to design strategies to best support client account goals.
Reports are submitted to the publicity director from publicity staff detailing pertinent information on the success or failures of each campaign; it is the director's responsibility to identify areas in which strategies can be augmented and improved to better serve client accounts. A comprehensive publicity report, condensing the sum of the department's publicity efforts delivered to the department heads
Detailed Responsibilities:
Development and execution of comprehensive publicity strategy for client accounts
Lead high level publicity outreach for Agency's clients of artists & entertainment brands.
Pitching to national and regional TV, print, radio and online media.
Writing press releases, pitch letters, media alerts, press kits, and other publicity materials.
Arranging artist appearances and inclusion to festivals & tours.
Creating targeted mailing lists and assisting with publicity database maintenance.
Cultivating and maintaining strong media relationships.
Collaborate with team members on the publicity, marketing, and digital team to formulate big-picture objectives and goals for each artist.
Build, cultivate, and manage relationships with ''Digital'' PR list including editors, influential bloggers, message board posters/administrators, and other decision makers relevant to team's artists.
Work with Agency's Publicity team members to build and maintain publicity database relationship with all music sites.
Develop and manage relationships with key decision-makers at all publications.
Coordinate and cover press events and appearances as requested (i.e. photo shoots, release parties, television appearances, showcases, award shows, red carpets, etc.).
Coordinate logistics of appearances, interviews, showcases, album releases parties and events - including travel (airfare, hotels, ground transportation, etc.) as needed.
