Summary/Objective:
Are you a highly organized, business savvy manager looking to work in the digital media space? Do you have a passion for storytelling or are you an avid TV watcher? Fine Brothers Entertainment (FBE) is looking for a Manager of Development for the TV department. This is a great position with room for growth for the right person. While there are some minor assistant tasks, this position is primarily handling development (including producing and editing of materials). After a 3-month trial period, this position may be brought on as a permanent employee with benefits such as insurance, 401k and paid vacation days.
You will work closely with our VP of TV Development. As part of a small team, you will work on all aspects of getting the job done. Our ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in TV (ideally a combination of both development and production at a studio, network or prod. company).
Essential Functions:
Prepare polished presentations (pitch decks, one-sheets, sizzles, etc).
Track projects in development.
Spearhead research for new and existing projects, including trends, events and character casting.
Give thoughtful notes on sizzle edits and incoming pitches.
Organize all department files on the server as well as create organized systems for tracking everything else done in the department.
Coordinate executive's daily calendars, including setting meetings, pitches and calls
Manage phones and roll calls.
Interface with senior executives, networks, agencies, and talent.
Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher required
Must be highly organized -- this is non negotiable. Need an organization junkie! Someone who can't function without first organizing everything.
A discerning creative eye towards pitch materials and able to give productive edit notes.
Comfortable with receiving frank feedback and offering the same in a professional manner.
Extremely detail-oriented, takes initiative, and has impeccable follow-through.
Able to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines without letting anything slip through the cracks.
A positive attitude, friendly but professional demeanor, but also knows when to use discretion.
