Position Description:
The Jr. Editor, Audience Engagement role supports the Audience Engagement team in every aspect of post production for FBE channels (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Musical.ly, Snapchat etc.)
Responsibilities include assembling episodes, editing content, sound mixing, color balancing and QCing final videos, helping to develop and establish new engagement formats through post-production.
This is a full time role, reports to the Director of Development and Programming, Audience Engagement, and staggers between a Sunday through Thursday and Monday through Friday schedule in our offices currently located in Burbank.
Job Responsibilities:
Assemble Audience Engagement episodes (Challenge Chalice, Live.ly highlights etc.)
DIT all Audience Engagement team footage
Track and organize all assets for videos (graphics, music etc.)
Create highlight cut downs of live content
Create compilations of social media content
Source clips for cut downs and compilations
Edit episodes from editor's cut through notes implementation to final approved cut
Implement producer and executive producer notes
Suggest ways to improve post-production value and streamline editing process
Sit-downs with producers
Quality control of final exports
Occasional on-camera appearances in social media as part of the Audience Engagement team
Assist with development of new formats for FBE2 and social channels
Overall assistance with Audience Engagement department responsibilities and tasks
Edit musical.ly's and Instagram original video content
Edit 3-5 new vlog-style episodes per week on the FBE2 channel.
Review footage and pull video stills
Researching and select topic images
Requirements:
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere
Ability to create basic graphics such as lower thirds
Ability to take raw footage and develop a cohesive narrative
Enthusiasm about Audience Engagement mission to develop, grow and rally the FBE audience into an FBE Family
Familiarity with social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Musical.ly, Snapchat etc.)
Awareness of YouTube culture, and internet culture, memes, vernacular, etc.
Ability to generate and maintain spreadsheets to track data, assets and workflow for various projects.
