People are incredibly important. Finding the right folks for the job, taking care of those that choose to share their time with you, and helping foster a positive and supportive work environment is what we're all about. If you find a passion in placing people in jobs they can be excited about with a company they can connect with, please read on.
About you:
Friendly, passionate, great judge of character, a motivated leader and incredibly well organized. You're seasoned in the HR world and have had extensive experience drafting new policies and implementing employee development strategies. You know how to lead a team, and better yet - you know how to coach them to be even better leaders themselves. You know all those mistakes people make when applying and interviewing for jobs? You don't make those. You must be comfortable working with a wide range of personalities, having one of your own that is receptive and sensitive to the needs of others.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
5+ years in a similar HR Management role
Extensive experience drafting and implementing new company policies
Deep and current knowledge of HR law & best practices in California
Extensive experience interviewing and leading performance reviews
Background in Leadership & Management training
Comfortable investigating, mediating and resolving personnel conflicts
Willing to wear several HR hats at once, from recruiting to administration
About the gig:
The HR Manager at our company will be in charge of coordinating all hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations when and if required. Additionally, they should feel confident drafting accurate and exciting job listings like this one (... trust me, it gets good). This role will be key in providing a support system for management by offering professional advice and counsel across a range of employee relations. This role must be filled by someone able to pitch procedure and write HR policies for the company to implement, so you should know federal, state, and local legal requirements like the back of your hand.
About us:
Our work week is Sunday-Thursday, 9am to 6pm. We foster a culture that puts a lot of attention towards encouraging internal growth, creating an enjoyable work environment, and promoting from within when possible. We offer competitive rates, and employees are eligible for a basic benefits package after 2 months of employment. Also we have tons of video games and snacks in our break room, if that does anything for ya.
Our company has been a pioneer in the digital space for over 10 years, so an excitement for online video and the new media space is a big plus. We're a small company doing big things and growing quickly in the process, so if you're not excited or interested in an ongoing weekly challenge, this probably isn't the right gig for you. We're looking for people that want to learn and grow with us.
Interested candidates should apply with your resume, salary requirements, and specific examples of their responsibilities in a similar role. Please use the subject line HR-CRD15 in your email. Good luck!
