FilmRise is looking for a contract administrator primarily to manage and maintain FilmTrack rights management database. The candidate with FilmTrack or other motion picture rights management database experience will be the ideal candidate. Does not have to be an attorney or paralegal, but must have experience as contract administrator at entertainment industry organization.
Contract administrator will also review chain of title documents, obtain and review other legal and business delivery materials. Will assist Finance by tracking producer payments, obtaining invoices and tax forms from producers, and helping with questions about royalties.
Will generate availability reports for Sales group and advise Marketing Dept. of any art work approvals, talent contract restrictions, etc. Will handle union and guild residual issues, and send DMCA take down notices.
Will also draft routine acquisition agreements and amendments, and provide all services typically provided by a contract administrator. Law degree not required, but familiarity with entertainment industry contracts is necessary.
