Job Description
A funny, inventive, creative writer/producer/coordinator, strategic planner and mega project juggler for the syndicated shows and movies. Applicant must have 2+ years experience in the field. Theatrical, broadcast, or cable background preferred. Must be an Avid guru with exceptional creative and finishing chops. Strong writing skills are also a plus. Must be a writer who does not rely on outdated promo copy and knows how to identify and magnify the sound bites everyone else missed. Must work with editors to craft award winning visionary on-air marketing.
If you can craft TV spots that reach out and grab a viewer's attention through the promos and lower 3rds, constantly strive to raise the creative bar, find new ways to be creative, have an awareness of the latest video effects, graphics, pop culture and music trends…if you live and breathe creative advertising, we want to hear from you.
The right candidate for this position must be confident and experienced working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to demonstrate solid executive interaction. You must possess a proven track record of successful, innovative and contemporary on-air marketing and promotion.
Job basics include:
- Write and produce event spots including sizzle presentations.
- Constant interaction with shows EPs, studio marketing execs.
- Strategize all daily marketing and long range plans throughout the season.
- Supervise all editing, graphics and final post-production.
- May require availability nights and weekends depending on demands of project.
- Coordinate and make a promo schedule to be run by master play, time charts, etc.
Candidates will be asked to submit a writing sample of past work and any video demo.
