Location: Santa Monica, CA
Position Summary:
This position will manage and lead the Film 45 Development team to create, package and pitch non-scripted show ideas and formats. Must commit to at least a one-year period, internal room for growth.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the Film 45 non-scripted development slate.
• Fully develop ideas into saleable non-fiction series and specials for broadcast and cable networks.
• Actively solicit, evaluate and present outside pitches form production companies, directors and producers.
• Work with Film 44 to partner on and develop non-fiction series, including identifying scripted projects that may be worth revisiting in the non-scripted space.
• Produce treatments, decks, sizzles and other relevant materials for network and cable pitches.
• Lead regular development meetings with Film 44 & 45.
• Represent the company at industry conferences (MIPCOM, MIPTV, Realscreen).
• Maintain strong relationships with producers/production companies, agents and networks.
Education and Work Experience:
• 10+ years industry experience.
• Previous agency or network experience a must.
• Bachelors Degree or higher.
Core Competencies:
• Strong skills in organization and multi-tasking
• Self-starter
• Maintains confidentiality
• Strong written, communication and presentation skills
• Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills
• Must have professional phone etiquette
• Proficient in Mac productivity/office applications (iCal, Excel, Word, iWork, etc.)
• Basic working knowledge of Final Draft and FileMaker Pro.
