Reports To: Director of Development
Status: Regular, Full-time, Non-exempt
Department: Development
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Position Summary:
This position will provide heavy development coordination to the Director of Development and also work closely with the Executive team. Must commit to at least a one-year period, internal room for growth.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide regular competitive development and network needs updates.
• Research and develop non-scripted special and series concepts.
• Research on-air and producing talent.
• Prepare pitch decks and copy write show treatments.
• Track show submissions, liaison with third parties on submission/status.
• Track development budgets to ensure all expenses are accounted for.
• Track legal status on development paperwork.
• Manage deliverables for all projects in development.
Education and Work Experience:
• Previous Agency experience preferred.
• Previous entertainment industry experience a must.
• Bachelors Degree or higher.
Core Competencies:
• Strong skills in organization and multi-tasking
• Self-starter
• Maintains confidentiality
• Strong written, communication and presentation skills
• Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills
• Must have professional phone etiquette
• Proficient in Mac productivity/office applications (iCal, Excel, Word, iWork, etc.)
• Basic working knowledge of Final Draft and FileMaker Pro.
