Search for Talent and Production Assistant jobs in Ellenton-FL
Provides support for all phases of the performer audition process, with a focus on recruiting & hiring stunt performers. Assists with stunt performer training, particularly during stage show rehearsal periods. Provides administrative support to Casting, Creative, and Operations teams. Success in this position requires the ability manage multiple activities surrounding the Audition process including cataloging audition records. Extensive knowledge of Disney / Marvel characters and strong teaching skills are also needed.
Essential Functions:
1) Identifies & secures locations for performer auditions - Creates and distributes audition flyers and casting call notices - Creates and teaches choreography for auditions - Develops and maintains electronic library of audition profiles that includes resumes, headshots, look alike photos, and related video clips.
2) Provides stunt and acting training - Provides support to other aspects of rehearsals as requested.
3) Creates or assists with the creation of safety policies, training materials & procedures, maintenance & inspection procedures, etc. relating to the safe and consistent performance of live stunts on touring productions.
4) Responds to request for audition records, video clips, etc.
5) Coordinates & administers pre-hire process, contracting, and post-offer on-boarding activities of new cast members.
Qualifications:
1) Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2) Minimum of 5 yrs experience working with stunts, including but not limited to - stage combat, weapon work, wire work (ratchets & wraps), high falls, burns, air rams, etc.
3) Extensive knowledge of Disney / Marvel characters & stories.
Skills & Abilities:
1) Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Mac Operating System, video editing software, file-sharing systems, and archiving software.
2) Ability to travel frequently - Domestic and International travel required.
3) Ability to coordinate multiple work projects on on-going basis; ability to work well with others and work independently.
4) Ability to effectively teach stunts, stunt choreography and stage acting methods that include animation, characterization, blocking, puppetry, other specialty skills.
