Search for Nuke Compositor jobs in Orlando-FL
The Nuke Compositor will work closely with the Compositing, Lighting, and FX departments as well as the VFX Supervisor to organize and composite Maya/Vray CG render, passes, layers, plates and other elements utilizing proprietary projection techniques to accomplish the vision of the Director for several unique and high-profile 3D animated stereoscopic projects.
Responsibilities include:
1. Develop and update compositing breakdown lists for project and shot compositing requirements.
2. Gather creative and technical references for project and shot compositing requirements.
3. Organize and track compositing elements throughout the development process.
4. Quality Check (QC) compositing elements and report technical issues to appropriate depts.
5. Develop, update, and organize compositing workflow on a per shot basis.
6. Determine the most efficient and effective techniques to fulfill shot and project compositing requirements.
7. Develop composite iterations for periodical review and approval based on delivery schedules.
8. Work within an existing compositing pipeline and folder structure.
9. Proactive communication with team members and supervisors
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 2 years industry experience.
2. Intermediate/Advanced in NUKE compositing software.
3. Firm understanding of rendering and render layers/passes in MAYA.
4. Experience with VRAY a plus.
5. Experience in AFTER EFFECTS a plus.
6. Stereoscopic film production experience is a plus.
7. MEL and/or PYTHON scripting experience is a plus.
8. Experience with photography or cinematography is a plus
9. Firm understanding of color, composition, and light.
10. Experience with studio project management systems such as SHOTGUN.
11. Experience with working with a team in a mixed software environment.
12. Organized, Self-motivated, problem solver, communicative, and team player.
