Search for Graphic Artist IV jobs in Fairfax-VA
Under general supervision, and in collaboration with producers and other production staff, creates broadcast-quality motion graphics for television and other video outlets including web and social media; performs technical and creative work in the production of digital media presentations and programs using industry standard software applications from initial concept through completion; performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination education, experience or training equivalent to a bachelor's degree in graphic design, motion graphics, multimedia, visual or fine arts, communication, or related field; minimum of 1-2 years of motion graphic work experience from a cable network, broadcast network, or video production company.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Not applicable.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to the position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in graphic design, graphic arts or fine arts in graphic design; plus four or more years of experience creating broadcast-quality motion graphics for television, web and social media.
•Experienced and proficient in using graphic design applications, such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Apple Motion, Viz Artist, and Avid.
•Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, deadline driven environments with the ability to manage multiple complex graphics projects simultaneously.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to perform computer work for long periods of time, up to eight hours per day. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Panel interview; may include a presentation of demo reel and a written exercise.
