Sales Coordinator, Footwear News and Women's Wear Daily Magazine
PMC is seeking seeks a full-time Sales Coordinator to support 2 publications: Women's Wear Daily (daily business publication) and Footwear News (weekly business publication). An ideal candidate will be strongly analytical and able to serve as a professional sales assistant for WWD and Footwear News, with the ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment to provide both administrative and strategic sales process support.
Administrative Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Professionally supporting the administrative needs of two (2) West Coast Sales Directors:
o Answering and directing telephone calls
o Managing monthly sales reports, make travel and reservation arrangements, appointment calendaring, filing expense reports, issuing mailings, maintaining contact databases, filing, ordering office supplies, and liaising between interoffice departments.
o Be a self-starter to troubleshoot and seek solutions to improve office efficiency and overall service to clients.
o Monitor editorial coverage.
Sales Support Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Proactively manage print and digital share of market reports as well as research leads for client/territory development.
• Take an active role in understanding the sales process and lead research as well as marketing requests with the goal of crafting compelling sales proposals in response to client requests/objectives.
• Be a strategic thinker and have the ability/confidence to anticipate the next need to further the sales process.
• Manage and keep all sales materials up to date
• Follow-up on orders.
• Update and monitor revenue projections.
• Share responsibility of tracking editorial coverage with New York-based coordinators.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing/Advertising is preferred, as well a 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to pursue a future career in sales as this position will offer great hands on opportunities to learn/experience the sales process.
• Candidate should have strong analytical skills, be good with numbers as well as be a motivated self-starter who is personable, detail oriented and able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
