FYI Brand Communications, a leading boutique lifestyle and entertainment brand communications firm, has an immediate need for a dynamic and enthusiastic Public Relations Account Coordinator to join the L.A. Team The PR/Account Coordinator will gain hands on experience working within our entertainment and sports divisions.
The PR/Account Coordinator will work closely with Account Executives. We are looking for a hard-working, business minded go-getter, who is able to thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment. Time management and organizational skills are a MUST. This is an entry-level position, but not for someone who has just graduated within the last year. Must have at least 1 year solid work experience 2 including internships
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Managing the CEO's calendar, scheduling and calls daily
-Monitoring emails -making sure client requests, press requests calls and outstanding new business proposals are seen and attended to
- Making sure CEO is dialed into calls, on time to meetings, and prepared with info prior to meetings
- Manage FYI accounts / bookkeeping _sending client invoices, paying office bills, updating billing information as needed.
- Oversee interns
- Update FYI Blog
- Monitoring press coverage and creating summary reports
- Researching, compiling, and maintaining media lists and editorial calendars
- Organizing office files
- Other office managerial and administrative duties
- New Business Research and Outreach
Other duties will include
- Assisting in pitching and securing media for features and editorial placements
- Developing press materials including releases, backgrounders, pitch letters and media alerts
- Handling day to day client and media requests
- Creating business proposals
Candidate Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2years experience in Entertainment Public Relations (internships applicable)
- Must be 1 year out of college at least!
- Ability to MULTI-TASK and work well under pressure, we need someone who can keep on top of their tasks list and not need to be reminded more than once to complete tasks and follow through
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize projects and complete them in a timely manner
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proven writing skills as well as excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving skills
- Must be reliable, motivated, and organized- this is not a standard 9-5- hard work, a can do attitude and reliability will take you far with this role.
This is an ENTRY level position for someone who has some experience in an EA role, but not for someone who just graduated and has not had a full time job before.
