Full Time Job
FX Networks is seeking a Producer of Multiplatform Video Distribution to manage the distribution of network content to FXNetworks website, network-managed social media platforms, online video services and MVPD partners.
Responsibilities
• Content Management:
• Publish full episodes and short-form video content for original and acquired content on the official network site, FXNetworks.com.
• Prepare short-form video content for the online video service HULU.com and YouTube.
• Oversee encoding of content from embedded digital production teams to ensure content meets HULU delivery specifications.
• Upload and publish content on the FX/FXX YouTube accounts.
• Work with internal design teams on the development of branded marketing assets for each FX Original.
• Perform final QA and approval of metadata and video content on FX digital video platforms.
• Digital Production:
• Working with Senior Producer, direct the FX Embedded Digital Production teams, coordinating the delivery of video, photography and text based content produced for show blogs and social platforms.
• Executes and collaborates with Producer of Social Media on distribution of content on branded social platforms.
• Route video and editorial content for legal review, provide collated feedback and handle process through to final approval. Fulfill requests for video end cards, lower thirds, and works with editor on copy requests.
• Manage the inventory of network provided equipment loaned to embedded production teams (cameras, audio, editing equipment etc.), and ensure equipment is maintained by vendors as required.
• Make recommendations on equipment acquisition for embedded producers or digital events as needed.
• Content Syndication:
• Partner with FX Publicity to distribute FX, FXX, and FXM digital short-form content weekly to over 250 digital outlets, including TV-focused blogs and MVPD partners.
• Digital Events:
• Work with the Manager of Content on the development of FX Digital Events from a video production and resource management perspective.
• May provide oversight to Special Ops teams hired to cover and provide edited content for digital distribution.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, with Marketing or Digital Media Communications focus.
• Minimum 3 years of previous experience in a digital media related position required.
• Entertainment, multi-platform video and web-based project experience preferred.
• Obsessive attention to detail required.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff required.
• Demonstrated strong project and time management skills required.
• Must be able to independently prioritize, track and resolve issues concurrently, and work well under deadline pressure.
• Must have strong computer skills and be fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working in a video CMS required.
• Must have experience using Mac, PC, iOS, Android, Web based applications and services.
• Must have a passion for emerging technologies and services, and be an avid user of social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, with a solid understanding of the current feature set of each platform and an eye to new product features.
