Full Time Job
FX Networks is seeking a Manager of Production & Special Projects to oversee all aspects of original productions for the network's marketing, digital, graphics, design, print, viral, promotional event, and on-air promotion projects and campaigns. Responsibilities include creative development, research, budgeting, set management and project oversight from pre-production through final delivery of all assignments. The Manager will also manage ongoing special projects, sales and social media campaigns, including determining the creative look and feel of content and deliverables from the various production teams, overseeing the logistical processes of these productions and associated personnel, and managing the pre-production, post-production and reconciliation of original shoots and special projects of various mediums.
Responsibilities:
• Determine, manage, and control original content quality for Special Projects original shoots, social media, and sales.
• Research and hire production companies and facilities; manage hired vendors, freelancers, and personnel to ensure product quality and punctuality, as well as to ensure the implementation of internal requests, notes, and changes.
• Collaborate closely with various marketing departments, initiating communication and managing campaign timelines to ensure alignment across the company.
• Provide daily updates to senior production executives on fluctuating and actualized expenditures.
• Create and perform quality control on marketing materials as needed to maintain accuracy and brand consistency.
• Negotiate proprietary and confidential contracts for services, copyright, and other materials with outside agencies and representatives.
Qualifications:
• Four year college degree preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience with television and commercial post-production from concept to completion.
• Minimum 2 years' editorial experience or a working knowledge in Avid bay, Final cut, and mixing facility
• Must have knowledge of the production budgeting process and managing.
• Must have knowledge of music licensing and contractual obligations.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.
• Must be able to work under tight deadlines, and be autonomous and decisive.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with a wide variety of personalities.
• Must be well informed on current trends in competitive advertising, design and the marketplace.
• Must have an understanding of television, film, and still photographic production and post-production terminology.
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Illustrator, QuickTime, Photoshop, and budgeting software.
• Must be able to carry up to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to travel overnight and internationally as needed on short notice.
• Must have current driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
