FX Networks is seeking an Assistant to support two Development executives by coordinating and disseminating information and materials pertaining to FX's development to other FX, FCN, FEG and 21CF departments, our productions and studio partners.
Responsibilities
• Schedules and coordinates meetings, makes travel arrangement and handles various administrative tasks.
• Coordinates and distributes materials, communicates with other departments to provide materials.
• Evaluates submissions (scripts, Internet, DVD) and helps track and cultivate ideas, writers and talent for potential FX development consideration. Manages communication between the Production/Development departments and studios/production. Reads drafts of projects in development. Manages delivery of incoming scripts/cuts and tracks shooting schedules. Keeps an accurate account of every-changing distribution calendars submitted by Production.
Qualifications:
• College Graduate required, with a 4-year degree in film, broadcast, journalism, communications, business or finance preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years previous entertainment experience at a talent agency, studio or network is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Must have strong skills utilizing Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be an avid TV watcher with a strong interest in series development.
• Must be a highly organized, task-oriented person who wants to grow with the network and departments. Due to the high volume of information and material flowing through the department, must be able to manage and disseminate it punctually and properly.
• Must be able to evaluate material and think analytically in relation to projects.
