Full Time Job
The Writer/Producer is responsible for writing and producing daily on-air promotion spots from concept to completion for FOX Sports and FOX Sports 1. He/she works very closely with the VP On-Air Promotion to craft engaging promos for live events,specials, and sports reality programming. He/she will work closely with editors, VO talent, and audio mixers.
Responsibilities:
• Concept, write, and oversee the production of daily on-air sports promos.
• Direct and Supervise day and night sessions of in-house editors, designers, sound designers, etc.
• Conduct research on various teams, players, and game narrative to ensure accuracy of each on-air promo.
• Supervises and directs voice over sessions. Executes music searches and determines appropriate cuts, as assigned.
• Remains informed of industry trends and techniques of on-air promotions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience writing and producing on-air spots, or in similar role at Ad Agency or outside Design/Production company.
• Must have a background in writing/producing on-air promos.
• Must have strong creative skills and have the ability to craft engaging copy and tell a compelling story.
• Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Must provide a reel with recent work in on-air promotions.
• Knowledge in sports preferred.
• Good verbal, written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work nights and some weekends when needed.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook and Explorer are needed.
• Knowledge of industry standard post-production technologies required.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven creative and conceptual thinking required.
