Writer/Producer/Editor will be experienced in producing daily segments, tune-in, proof of performance, and image on-air promotion spots on tight deadlines. Expert at writing, producing and editing snappy, focused and entertaining content. The challenge for this person is to make sales friendly content watchable. We're not making infomercials here, we're making tune-in worthy television.
The Writer/Producer/Editor will create daily look-live segments, on-air promotion spots, messaging and campaigns for Studio40 and from concept to completion. Working closely with talent and sales, this person will be a strong collaborator, yet also strong solo.
Duties may also include sales presentations, corporate materials and sponsor messages.
The W/P/E will maintain a close relationship with all sales people, clients, show producer, director and EP, GM and talent.
Proficient editing on FCP 7/Final Cut X and Premiere
The W/P/E transmits all finished product to multiple outlets as directed
Creating and managing original production shoots
Works with vendors and clients
Maintains accurate files on all projects including scripts, audio/video notes, v/o talent information and music sources.
Responsible for coordinating with scheduling proper & timely delivery of creative product
Minimum 1-2 years experience at a television station or Network or Agency as an on-air writer/producer/editor
•Must be highly creative, innovative and have strong writing, video, original production and editing skills
•Must have attention to detail and accuracy with excellent oral and written communication skills
•Must have strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
•Proficiency with non-linear editing equipment, specifically FCP
•Proficiency with After Effects, Photoshop
•Social Media Fluency
•Love and passion for news
•Great Attitude
•College degree/ Film/Production/Journalism
•Available to work weekends (when needed)
•Experience running shoots and original production
