Part Time Paid Internship
Gain real-world working experience while assisting the director of a new art website within an established entertainment company. Work closely with curators/visual artists/gallerists/entertainment industry professionals.
Seeking students in the visual arts possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills with a working knowledge of contemporary artists, influencers, blogs and art history will have the opportunity to reach out to the national and international arts communities through Worship The Brand, a new brand art & fan art community and website.
Jumpstart your career in the visual arts through our experiential internship program. Expectations and duties include the following:
-Research and write blog posts specifically about contemporary artists and art trends with an emphasis on Pop art, brand art, and fan art - social media skills are essential.
-Research artists, galleries, and venues for inclusion on our site.
-Accompany Site Director to art openings, events, panels and lectures. Photograph event and write re-caps to share on website and social media.
-Explore niche art markets and develop goals related to artist branding, traditional and new marketing methods and e-commerce solutions.
-Assist in curating extensive collection of digital art and corresponding talent.
-Excellent writing and communication skills in order to reach out to a variety of art-world contacts.
Students in all majors welcome to apply but competencies in areas listed above are a must. Must be enrolled in an accredited higher-learning institute and eligible to receive college or post-graduate credit for participating. We also offer weekly mentor meetings to make sure this experience is as educational as it is productive. We offer a creative, casual work environment with plenty of drinks, snacks and free parking in an amazing location.
We're flexible about scheduling, but ideally we're looking for someone who can be available 2 or more days per week beginning in December 2014. Our office is open 10 - 6 Monday - Friday in Studio City, California.
Must have your own computer and transportation. NOTE: This is an internship for training purposes, not employment. While there is a small monthly cash stipend this internship will not replace regular employment.
