Departmental Overview:
The Digital Department functions primarily to deliver EM's content to its clients through the website and hard drive deliveries.
Role Specification
Role Description:
To develop and maintain aspects of the internal music and client management system part of a fluid team of developers. Responsible for the development, implementation and support of Business Intelligence (BI) reports and 3rd party delivery solutions.
Summary of Role Responsibilities:
This includes (but is not limited to) the following areas of responsibility:
-Content & Reporting
Generate and maintain data export reports from MySQL to Excel
Worldwide implementation of the hard drive digital delivery systems and procedures including updates and client support
Interact with 3rd party companies to ensure successful updates
Create internal business analytics reports in our .NET CMS portal
Work with music and sales teams to make sure our music data is correct and up to date
Identifying trends and growth opportunities for Extreme's digital delivery structure
Ensuring the consistent output worldwide of the digital library and ensuring the online library is well maintained
Researching 3rd-party solutions and document integration plans
Participating and Contributing to regular project update meetings followed up with status updates to stakeholders
Serve as technical support for internal staff, partners and clients to troubleshoot user experience, manage technical issues and offer problem-solving recommendations
-Project Execution and Solution Development
Work with managing developers and 3rd party vendors as assigned to develop web-based solutions, including integration with existing client systems and database development and maintenance
Apply development/programming ''best practices'', such as, specification design/review, object oriented development, in-line comments and other typical documentation specifications
Collaborate with QA team in design and implementation of test plans resolving any issues and ensuring software quality
Complete documentation and adhere to all development and implementation standards in accordance with GISP standard and procedures.
Apply knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients
Establish responsible deadlines and personal work plans.
Coordinate update releases with staff, Digital Content Team, partners, developers and 3rd party vendors
Report bugs/errors to managing developers with follow up and communicating status to affected parties
-General
Client and staff website support - user account management, troubleshooting. Etc.
In the absence of any bona fide IT staff, local and international IT troubleshooting when necessary
Ensure local back-ups are made
Ensure a current list of username & passwords are kept + all registration keys/serial numbers etc for all web software

Person Specification
Qualifications/ Experience
-Essential
Computer Science or related degree
2 years' experience in strategic planning of digital delivery systems and media streaming technologies
1+ years Technical Project Management experience
ASP.NET MVC for writing custom MySQL reports and understanding our API code
MS Excel, XML - Meticulous understanding of spreadsheet data
MySQL - Ability to write SQL, understand stored procedures. General relational database architecture understanding
Some front-end knowledge: HTML5, javascript
REST API / JSON
Interest and understanding of audio file formats and technologies
Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills
Excellent communication, organization and relationship management skills
Has the ability to execute under accelerated timeframes and work well under pressure
-Desirable
NoSQL technologies like Lucene / Solr
Systems Admin Knowledge - general knowledge of server configuration, ideally Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience in designing music sites with e-commerce & download features
Workstation administration and MAC OS Knowledge
Understanding of production music industry
