This individual will own the go-to-market strategy and executional direction selling and servicing in the music ticketing industry.
The Role:
As the Music Business Unit Director you will own the strategy, growth, and retention for one of our major Business Units (Music, Festivals, Registration, Endurance). In this role you will coach and manage sales and account management team leads responsible for selling prospects on our unique value proposition, evangelizing our solution, and retaining the clients we bring on board.
An ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience and have worked in a growth-stage environment. Candidate must have a proven ability to execute a solution oriented sales process, drive market strategy, coach and mentor sales leaders and reps, and history of exceeding quarterly and yearly targets.
In this role you will:
- Mentor and provide guidance to your team with a focus on helping them achieve their goals, grow as team members, and create successful experiences for our customers
- Exceed quarterly/annual acquisition and retention key performance metrics
- Deliver a value based sales approach to position Eventbrite as a strategic partner for prospective organizations and current customers
- Manage and drive accountability throughout the entire sales process and customer lifecycle by engaging appropriate resources such as Finance, Marketing, Executives, etc.
- Develop expertise in the ticketing industry by identifying trends, market challenges, and competitive offerings in your territory
- Build business plans that drive the acquisition, service delivery, and retention of your Business Unit
- Conduct accurate team forecasting and revenue delivery
The Skill Set:
- 10+ years of experience with a record of quota over-achievement - a track record of building, mentoring, and inspiring teams toward mission driven goals
- A deep domain expertise and passion for Music
- Proven ability to build and execute on go-to-market strategies driving towards revenue targets, customer satisfaction, and retention metrics
- A customer focused mindset and an eye towards service delivery, customer engagement, and success management
- Firm understanding of how to identify target customers, evaluate buyer interest, recognize decision-making processes, handle objections, and close the business
- The ability to successfully collaborate and align on team and organizational objectives with cross functional stakeholders
- Strong desire to work in an innovative and dynamic company
