Overview
A / V Solutions Engineer
Develop and design integrated audiovisual systems according to established business needs and specifications. System applications include live events-including the annual Esri User Conference, attended by 16,000 customers-presentations, interactive collaboration, video/audio conferencing, digital signage, streaming video, and master control centers. Our ideal candidate will have comprehensive technical knowledge coupled with engineering and integration experience associated with various audiovisual business partners such as Polycom, Cisco, Crestron, BiAmp, Extron, Christie, Vista Systems, and others.
Responsibilities
• Develop strong working relationships with company staff to clearly understand business audiovisual requirements while effectively communicating potential solutions
• Plan and design audiovisual systems to support audiovisual upgrades, integrations, and installations
• Prepare proposals for Corporate review supporting acquisitions of audiovisual equipment
• Prepare and complete detailed test plans to assure proper integration of new audiovisual systems into existing infrastructure
• Develop robust working relationships with audiovisual vendors to leverage their capabilities in support of business requirements
• Conduct audiovisual needs assessments and document site surveys at Esri global offices
• Develop comprehensive audiovisual support plans and provide hands-on audiovisual support for major off-site company events
• Create drawings and design flow charts depicting audiovisual systems placements and integrations with event stage structures and other supporting systems using CAD drawings, blue prints, etc.
Requirements
• 7-10 years of directly relevant experience in AV design including 1-2 years of field implementation experience
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and product specification manuals
• Excellent spatial visualization and problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate situations utilizing logical and decisive reasoning
• Solid organizational and relationship skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong initiative and self-motivating traits
• Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced and occasionally high pressure environment
• Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team oriented and solid team player
• Bachelor's in Systems Engineering, Broadcast Media, or related field
Recommended Qualifications
• InfoComm CTS certification
• Crestron and/or AMX certification
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks applications
