Full Time Job
The primary function of this position is to execute against overall objectives and strategies of the Content Distribution and Marketing teams. Responsible for executing innovative integrated marketing initiatives to secure distribution, drive distributor and EPIX revenues, reinforce the value of the EPIX brand and increase subscribers. Each member of this team is expected to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment and be prepared to change course of direction as needed. A secondary function of this position is to suggest and develop strategies and tactics for subscriber growth.
Basic Qualifications
• Assist the sales and marketing leadership in the development of EPIX marketing plans and sales proposals that meet or exceed distribution and revenue goals, taking industry and competitor trends into consideration
• Serve as the primary POC for assigned distribution partners (e.g., AT&T U-verse, Charter, Cox, Frontier, Verizon FiOS, Hulu, Amazon) and act as principal liaison and expert for each account with respect to its marketing strategy, understand opportunities that could drive EPIX goals, and be aware of changes in product and/or corporate structure that could impact EPIX. Share updates with internal teams in a timely, proactive manner
• Create and manage an annual calendar of planned and committed marketing support for each assigned distributor, including individual direct marketing campaigns with the goal of driving EPIX and package subscriptions. Tactics may include cross-channel spots, digital, social, email, direct mail, outbound telemarketing, etc. Also includes tracking contractually committed marketing activities and/or funds (if applicable)
• Generate awareness for EPIX brand and programming using partners’ key marketing messages and distributor promotions/events including traditional, social, digital, and grassroots media and other communication channels applicable to the respective MVPD, vMVPD or SVOD client (e.g., set-top box banners, barker channels, VOD pre-roll, newsletters, etc.)
• Manage call center marketing efforts including development and distribution of ongoing training and awareness materials, develop and manage POS incentives, and recommend training schedules for each assigned account
• Protect and maximize the EPIX brand through the thoughtful review and approval of EPIX participation in sales team’s efforts and partner tactics (TV, print, and digital marketing tactics, websites, TVE portals, social media sites, etc.), partnering with EPIX marketing team as appropriate
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with sales team to evaluate promotional opportunities and ensure we are creating opportunities that are on target with driving EPIX and distributor priorities and on-brand for EPIX.
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with all applicable channel contacts (e.g., marketing, programming, creative, digital/social media, legal, press) to create comprehensive fully integrated opportunities that maximize distribution and enhance channel priorities
• Manage budgets associated with projects and provide Coordinator with details for department tracking
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor degree with 3-6 years marketing experience
• Proven client relationship experience
• Collaborative team player with cross functional organization
• Premium network and/or distribution marketing experience preferred
• Digital marketing experience preferred
• Candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, reliable and a self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Possess strong learning agility; must be flexible and able to adapt to the changing industry and organization landscape
• Strategic and innovative thinker and have excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills
