Overview and Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day management of digital media assets on shared servers.
Basic Qualifications
• Maintain file system of shoot footage, production assets, and deliverables: ingest, prep, transcode, transfer, metadata tag, secure, purge, archive, retrieve, etc.
• Maintain documentation of various user groups and permissions pertaining to asset access
• Support intellectual property rights management and usage rights compliance by ensuring all permissions are obtained, distribution is appropriate, communication is clear and expirations are managed
• Manage multiple internal and external clients using customer service based approach: prioritize requests, enable partners to access, manage, and leverage assets
• Traffic all user requests for sign-up/access to DMAM system and maintain protections
• Assist with documenting processes and procedures to implement best practices based on current technology and industry standards
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Communication, IT, Media Management, Broadcast Engineering)
• Very strong organizational skills with a keen mind for details
• Familiarity with DAM systems and Metadata Management, their uses and workflows within media organizations
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions under deadlines and provide quick turnaround
• Minimum 2-3 years of broadcast operations experience including familiarity with/use of media asset management software
• Experience working with digital media files formats such as .XML. MOV, DV, PSD, etc. and file conversion
• Working knowledge of
• Non-linear post production software and process including familiarity Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
• Shared storage technologies (SAN)
• Content delivery systems such as, but not limited to: FTP, Signiant, etc.
• Experience with various creative content such as print, video, photo design, etc.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office software
• Customer/Client Service skills
