Job Title: Chief Photographer
KCEC Univision Colorado is looking for a hands-on Chief Photographer. As Chief Photographer, you will lead the team of photojournalists, ensuring they deliver creative, high level storytelling to best serve our viewers. The ideal candidate will:
• Supervise photojournalists, including but not limited to coaching, conducting performance evaluations and creating schedules to manage overtime
• Shoot, capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms
• Post content to station's Web sites
• Work with producers and multi-media journalists to create news stories
• Drive company vehicle for business purposes
• Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
• Perform news operations duties as needed
• Responsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to live truck, Live- U, TVU- Grid, video camera, and video editing equipment.
• Have vast experience with Adobe Premier and Final Cut Pro editing software.
Requirements:
• Degree in video production, Film & TV, broadcast, electronic media, or similar program, or equivalent education/technical training/professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the field.
• Must be willing to work and live in the Denver Metro area.
• Must be fluent in Spanish (speak, read & write).
• Must be willing to submit a background investigation.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Punctuality and Dependability are essential.
