Job Title: Promotions Director / Creative Services Director TV/Radio
Entravision Colorado, is looking for an energetic, creative, experienced Marketing and Promotions Director to coordinate and lead a promotions and creative services staff in order to promote the stations' image and presence in the marketplace to our primary demographic while maintaining a winning onsite image. Qualified candidates will also be in charge of the stations Community Affairs. This position requires a high degree of organizational skills, attention to detail, time management and a personal disposition that works well with creative co-workers in programming, production and sales. Valid driver's license and excellent driving record required. 4 year degree in marketing preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
•Planning and executing sales promotions, events, community partnerships, and work collaboratively with all departments on in-house and client promotional campaigns.
•Communicating and negotiating directly with clients on promotions and/or events as well as managing/maintaining the stations promotional calendars.
•Managing the promotions budget and expenses with the management team to include P&L reporting
•Develop and maintain relationships with clients and/or organizations as well as develop, create and brainstorm promotions with Sales Department to ensure that Entravision Colorado maintains and increases its share of business.
•Planning and coordination of major Promotions from inception to completion by working closely with and communicating with Promotions/Creative Services staff , Sales Managers, Digital team and Network Program Directors to include scheduling and coordinating execution, localization of on air contesting and on the street marketing.
•Ensure the preparation of promotions and timelines are executed properly
•Managing and supervising promotions and creative services staff in the promotions department as well as train staff and uphold staff accountability.
•Attend internal meetings and outside meetings with account executives and sales leadership
•Provide significant contribution to stations' online presence, through innovation of promotional and interactive campaigns and clients as well as regular local content coordination of website/social media pages.
•Contributions to stations' print marketing initiatives, including copywriting, basic layout and evaluation of finished products to ensure and enforce proper station branding and imaging.
•Problem solve internal and external issues regarding promotions and creative production
•Understanding FCC rules and regulations when executing on-air and web based contests/promotions
•Maintain accurate and detailed calendars of upcoming appearances, contests, concerts and sampling opportunities for clients
•Recap sales and station promotions with proof of performance documentation.
Qualifications:
•B.A./B.S. degree in Marketing or Communications preferred, or combination of education and experience; with at least five (5) years of experience in a successful broadcast media promotions and marketing environment, with three (3) years in a management/supervisory position
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, requires constant interaction with management team, department heads, sales and corporate staff.
•Superior organization skills and attention to detail; must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
•Must be able to make sound business decisions based on logic, common sense while exercising and developing Marketing and Promotions best practices for local station group as an art form and as a business
•Must be able to interact with clients and listeners and meet the diversity of each customer
