Entertainment Services is a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment. We are looking for a Senior Royalty Analyst in our Lyndhurst, NJ office.
The Senior Royalty Analyst's responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:
• Management Supervision & Staffing of Royalty Analyst (Offshore)
• Monitor progress of royalty analysts and provide assistance when necessary
• Analyze royalty computations to verify adherence to contractual terms and agreements
• Ongoing interaction with management regarding royalty reporting concerns
• Reconcile various Account Receivable and Third Party Liability account balances on the sub ledger, including the preparation of invoices, credit memos and adjusting entries
• Assist management throughout the month end and quarter end process as needed and perform routine accounting duties
• Assist in process design improvements focused on enhancing quality while reducing resource requirements
• Responsible for the implementing outstanding projects and transitioning administration tasks to offsite resources
• Point of contact for various Label and Finance Management inquiries
• Special Projects as needed

• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time productivity
• Ability to analyze and review information from several different sources (corporate systems)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment
• Excellent leadership skills

• Communication - Communicates well both verbally and in writing; shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
• Quality - Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems.
• Computer Skills - Skilled in the use of computers learns new programs quickly and uses computers to improve productivity.
• Process Management - Understands the benefits of a streamlined workflow, adapts to continuous changes and priority tasks, develops good work procedures, manages time well and handles information flow.
