Residuals Account Analyst - Temporary
We are currently seeking several Account Analysts for a temporary position that has the potential to become full time. The Account Analyst is responsible for analyzing, preparing and processing residual set ups and payments for television, theatrical and new media products and distribution markets. Must be able to work heavy overtime.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take ownership of assigned shows by knowing the product, asking questions, taking initiative to question what you receive and executing client requests in a timely and accurate manner to assure client, union and department deadlines are met; offer innovative, effective solutions to optimize department efficiency; anticipate the needs of the client and the Processing, Quality Assurance and Account Management Teams;
• Analyze and validate documents in detail for completeness and accuracy and break residual set ups in accordance with standard established guidelines; determine the most direct, efficient solution to satisfy these requirements; achieve and sustain low return rate;
• Review and assess the needs and requirements for non-standard residuals; identify, determine and propose the most direct, efficient, effective solution to satisfy these needs and requirements; if necessary, propose new solutions; prepare and process the non-standard residual set ups and payments in accordance with new and/or established guidelines;
• Maintain a high level of knowledge, application and retention of union contract provisions, regulations, deadlines, industry standards and requirements governing residuals, internal procedures and processes, and residual computer system programs; keep current with any updates or changes relating to the above;
• Support, promote and execute policies developed by Department Executive; and, contribute, support and promote unity, cooperation and harmony within the department to achieve common goals;
REQUIREMENTS
• 3-5 years of accounting/payroll experience
• Strong analytical, organization and communication skills
• Ability and eagerness to learn new systems and databases
• Able to work heavy overtime
• Advance Excel and Word knowledge preferred
• Previous Residuals experience preferred
