POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the Production Accounting team, the Production Accounting Subject Matter Expert role will participate in defining requirements for the creation of new products and features; provide the team common, alternate and outlier business scenarios; will drive and contribute to the end-to-testing of business processes during regression cycle and hardening phase of product release; will review and contribute in prioritization of issues escalated by product support and will, on occasion, provide on-site assistance to productions to drive the adoption of Vista5 with new clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as subject matter expert for software group as needed for specific features and provide feature ideas and product roadmap input.
• Investigate and troubleshoot production issues and defects escalated by support
• Contribute and partner with Product Managers in defining requirements for the creation of new products and features;
• Document and share common, alternate and outlier business scenarios with development team (developers, QA, PM and PDM);
• Responsible to drive and contribute to the end-to-testing of business processes during regression cycle and hardening phase of product release; partner with QA team in testing of candidate builds for release
• Support Product Managers in review and prioritization of issues escalated by product support
• On occasion, provide on-site assistance to productions to drive the adoption of Vista5 with new clients
• Provide input, documentation and tools to product support, sales and client services as needed to help support the client on-boarding process.
• Provide actionable process improvement suggestions for how the Products organization can improve customer experience and internal efficiency in on-boarding and set-up.
• Provide guidance to the team about issues escalated by support.
• Contribute in analysis and troubleshooting data and accounting issues, escalated from Product Support/Clients
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• 10+ years of experience (preferred) in Production Accounting for major Film and/or TV projects or similar related experience
• Prior experience working with EP's Product Suite such as CV, GV, Vista 5, MMB, TimeTrax etc.
• Prior experience and strong knowledge of entertainment industry production accounting, payroll accounting and related areas
• Proven ability to effectively analyze and trouble shoot data and accounting issues
• Software development experience in agile environment highly preferred
• BA or BS or equivalent experience required
