Job Description
Title: Director Childrens Marketing & Product Development,
Home Video
Reports to: Vice President Marketing & Product Development
Location: Port Washington
Qualifications
-B.A. in marketing and/or management with 10 years experience in entertainment marketing (specializing in children's entertainment and home video)
-Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a team player disposition.
-Excellent project management skills with the ability to work on and oversee multiple projects and set priorities in a deadline driven environment.
-Ability to develop and execute all elements of a marketing plan and ability to think creatively to conceptualize unique marketing opportunities.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to liaise effectively with colleagues across the organization and to build relationships outside of the organization.
-Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on quality of work.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
-Manage the development of children's entertainment brands/releases including the development of overall and project-specific marketing, publicity and social media strategies.
-Work with VP Marketing and VP Licensing and Merchandising to budget, develop and execute marketing plans for all releases, inclusive of trade and consumer initiatives.
-Seek out unique marketing opportunities including cross-promotions, strategic alliances and partnerships that will maximize exposure for each release.
-Oversee the creation of key art, packaging and all related marketing and advertising materials.
-Work closely with production, creative services and operations staff to keep projects on track and aligned with production deadlines.
-Liaise with production partners, broadcasters, licensees, sales staff and retail partners to ensure all branding and positioning initiatives are properly implemented and on strategy.
-Maintain and communicate status reports and release schedules.
-Write Purchase Orders for vendor services and code corresponding invoices. |
