Summary
Perform assigned accounting and administrative functions in an accurate, timely and efficient manner in order to provide assistance to the General Manager and Corporate Accountant in fulfilling business office and accounting responsibilities. Position reports to the market General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the General Manager in an operational role and the Corporate Accountant in an accounting function
• Work closely with Department Heads to insure fiscal responsibility and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance
• Key player in month end close by assisting Corporate Accountant with financial reports and backup
• Maintain key financial schedules, including planning, pacing and forecasting reports
• Code Accounts Payable and review invoices and contracts for cost savings
• Collect payroll data and send to Corporate Payroll for processing
• Calculate and prepare monthly Account Executive commission statements
• Serve as the local Human Resource representative and maintain EEO files
• Backup Accounts Receivable cycle (billing, post cash, book adjustments, deposit recap)
• Manage and supervise Business Operations Assistant & Receptionist
Experience / Skills Required:
• Accounting background
• Ability to multi-task, manage and follow through on multiple projects, prioritize duties and handle a high volume workload with a sense of urgency
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to accuracy and detail
• Excellent communication, training and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to communicate with all levels
• Ability to effectively identify and analyze problems and recommend solutions to address challenges
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Including Excel and Outlook)
Software Requirements:
• Microsoft Excel (Must be proficient)
• WideOrbit - Accounts Receivable and Revenue Reporting
• Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) - Accounts Payable and General Ledger Reporting
• Ultimate Software - Payroll
• Tagetik - Financial Reporting & Budgeting
