Job Purpose:
Page Six TV is seeking a Promo Producer-Editor who has a passion for entertainment, celebrity and pop culture. This position is responsible for the daily topical promos for the show (brainstorming, writing, producing and editing), operating against tight deadlines and in sync with the show's fast-paced daily production schedule. The position is full-time and based in New York. It will report to the show's Executive Producers, Page Six TV in New York and the Vice President, Marketing, Endemol Shine North America in Los Angeles.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Write/produce/edit high volume of daily promotional content (e.g. daily topicals, behind the scenes, talent/station shout outs, etc.)
· Take ownership of delivering all content on time, allowing for sufficient time for notes and necessary approvals
· Update and potentially write/produce/edit new evergreen promotional spots at various lengths
· Candidate must have strong experience in both producing and editing videos on a daily basis in a fast-paced show production
environment
· Assist in regularly brainstorming out-of-the-box, yet executable promotional ideas
· Serve as valuable resource on the most entertaining and engaging clips and scenes from in-show, provide guidance and
suggestions to Marketing, Digital/Social, Press and others on when and where they may help in promotions and messaging
· Liaise with Manager, Affiliate Relations and Digital/Social department for consistent brand messaging across platforms
· Work closely with Social Media Producer-Editor to ensure that both On-Air and Digital/Social asset delivery is covered at all times
Skills & Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of experience promotional producing, and editing video
· B.A. or equivalent experience
· A deep understanding and passion for Entertainment, Celebrity and Pop Culture
· Excellent writing, interviewing, copy and image editing skills
· Experience working in a talent/celebrity driven environment is a plus
· Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment
· Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and AVID is a must
· Knowledge of various tools of the trade e.g. content management systems, photo, video and audio editing software and a basic
knowledge of HTML.
· Understand digital landscape and trends including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and all other forms of social
media
· A solid comfort level working in digital media, and strong computer skills
Eligibility Requirements:
IATSE membership preferred but not required; Company will sponsor
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be 18 years or older
