Job Purpose:
The Manager, Music will oversee all music cue sheet requirements for Endemol Shine North America and must be familiar with the ins and outs of music rights, ownership and the various parties involved. This position should understand the strategies of how music is used in TV (composers, songs, music libraries, themes, etc). An ideal candidate finds satisfaction in a well-maintained spreadsheet and is comfortable maintaining large amounts of information across various documents. They work well under pressure with approaching deadlines but are comfortable in an environment where they're independent and self-motivated.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Get all proper ProTools sessions and final cuts with time codes from Post and maintain our tech requirements for these sessions.
• Prepare and process all cue sheets for the department and ensure they are delivered according to network standards and PRO (performing rights organization) deadlines so royalties are distributed on time.
• Acquire all appropriate cue sheet rights information from composers and copyright owners (record labels, music publishers, libraries, etc.).
• Distribute cue sheets to all necessary parties and create various cue sheet related tracking documents (usage breakdowns, cue counts, music databases, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Maintain internal music databases and libraries as shows wrap.
• Assist with international format services in receiving, reviewing and processing cue sheets from third party format productions.
• Handle network deliverables for department including creating proper digital delivery and physical files.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by head of department
Skills & Qualifications:
• College degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience with preparing and processing cue sheets
• Familiarity with Pro Tools and various cue sheet software (RapidCue, Q, Mozart, etc.)
• Advanced skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills - both in person and over phone/email
• Exceptional attention and preference for detail
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to anticipate needs, be proactive, resourceful and flexible
• Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.
