The Emporia Entertainment Internship Program offers bright, motivated individuals the opportunity to receive mentorship, supervision, and training. In addition to gaining hands-on experience in their department, Interns will attend various cross functional presentations, learning sessions with Senior Leadership and have the opportunity to work with Interns across other departments within the company.
You must have an excellent command of all communication skills, speaking, writing and listening and easily following directions. You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You must have an interest in popular culture, fashion, sports, and entertainment. Know the difference between Vogue magazine and Family Circle magazine, have a working knowledge of current trends in movies, television, sports and celebrity news. We are looking for mature individuals serious about a career in public relations and looking for the right opportunity to get their foot firmly in the door. While we enjoy a non-traditional, non-corporate workplace - we are a team professionals with a long established reputation within the industry for delivering stellar public relations and production expertise to both our media and client partners.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and PR support to company partners and other team members in the areas of PR, Marketing, Promotions, Event Management and Traditional and Social Media.
- Help create brand audits for professional athletes, celebrities, and industry professionals
- Build press lists, create face sheets, organize press packets, produce wrap books
- Always ready to provide team support
- Positively represent the company at all times
