GENERAL SALES MANAGER-WQHT-FM
Job Description:
Work with Director of Sales to ensure that Emmis N.Y. achieves budget.
Develop and follow through with strategic plan for WQHT Sales Department.
Develop yearly budget.
Recruit and develop Account Executives.
Work as a coach, leader and problem solver for sales staff.
Work with Marketing Dept to develop ideas that increase business.
Manage account lists.
Other duties as may be assigned by management.
Provide structured, motivational and inspiring guidance to Account Executives
Drive a customer focused sales culture of idea based selling
Create new, refreshing and exciting sales tools for the department
Candidates should have the following:
Extensive radio sales experience with national, local agency and direct/retail clients.
A minimum of five years radio sales management experience in NYC.
A proven knowledge of marketing/ branding
A proven track record of successful leadership and coaching
A charismatic personality who can keep things fresh
A huge desire to win and help others win
Demonstrate the ability to see opportunity in every challenge
