The Development Coordinator plays an important role by participating in all development and corporate activities related to expanding the premium non-scripted television slate of a fast-growing production company. The position requires an individual with top-notch communication and organizational skills as well as prior relevant experience.
The Development Coordinator must be a highly organized self-starter, able to multitask and excellent with follow-up. The individual in this position should be articulate, professional and possess superior organizational skills. Advanced computer skills, flexibility, a team player attitude and attention to detail are a must. The Development Coordinator should also have a genuine interest in growing in the field of non-scripted television.
We are looking for an eager Development Coordinator who is passionate about the entertainment business as a whole, and has a love for non-scripted programming. Responsibilities will include researching potential show concepts, contacting and conducting interviews with potential talent, and having strong writing skills for treatments. They will provide administrative and other support to the development department. Final Cut and/or Adobe skills are an added bonus, but not required. Candidates must be able to research in non-traditional ways, deputizing social media, blogs, comment threads, etc.
We want organized thinkers, finders, and do-ers! Our ideal candidate is smart, creative and resourceful! Candidates must have 2-3 years experience working in this business. You MUST be interested in reality television and have pop culture knowledge.
