Full Time Job
The Synergy Coordinator will be responsible for supporting team members with a variety of projects as needed to help maximize partnership and promotional opportunities for the company. Specifically the candidate is a self-starter who has a passion for sports, as well as general entertainment and news. The coordinator should have a strong background in communications and project management.
Responsibilities
• Assist in managing relationships between ESPN and all synergy partners across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) including ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Cable Networks Group, Radio Disney, Freeform, Disney Parks, ESPN Zone, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, ESPN Club and more.
• Contribute to cross-promotional executions across the larger TWDC in support of ESPN initiatives such as NBA, College Football Playoff, SportsCenter, NFL, ESPYs, and more.
• Support team in the execution of opportunities across ESPN divisions to drive awareness or tune-in for our ABC/TWDC partners.
• Share creative ideas for growth, efficiency and collaboration with team.
• Serve as the main point of contact in the planning and trafficking of print and digital creative assets across TWDC platforms.
• Manage the forecasting and daily maintenance of the synergy budget including all SAP and PO related activities.
• Daily tracking and monitoring the status and outcomes of all internal and external synergy initiatives through clipping on-air, social and digital support across ESPN or our partners' platforms.
• Provide internal stakeholders and synergy partners with recaps pertaining to support of their/our initiatives
• Manage one-off/special projects as assigned.
• Maintain schedule of cross-company events for planning purposes.
• Ticket management of partner requests as well as synergy allotment and distribution for various events throughout the year
• General administrative duties including assistance with meeting scheduling, mailings both mass and one-offs, organizing of synergy meetings and presentations (may also include AV needs, bookings, locations, catering, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Internet savvy
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and interpersonal, expressing ideas, thoughts, fact in a clear, convincing and organized way
• Highly organized and able to work independently on projects – attention to details is imperative
• Self-starter with strong initiative and problem solving skills – the candidate must demonstrate good judgment and be able to think on his/her toes.
• Ability to efficiently handle a large quantity of projects and tasks simultaneously under deadline, deal effectively with press and complete a task with minimal direction or instruction.
• Out of box thinker with a passion for developing create marketing ideas and concepts
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year professional work experience
• Extensive knowledge of sports
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic production skills
• Candidate should have a healthy appreciation of popular culture and the role of sports in pop culture and main stream news.
• SAP knowledge
• Willingness to travel to Bristol and occasionally to LA or Orlando as needed
• Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing business demands
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree
