Full Time Job
This is a project position with an estimated length of 1.5 years
Responsible for behind-the-scenes aspects of various productions and events, specifically the History of Basketball Project, which is a 10 part, 14 hour project that is airing in 2018. This person will be responsible for Budgets, Rights and Clearances, Award Submission, Invoice Processing, and working with 3rd party vendors including Cameramen and Edit Facilities and Audio needs and potentially Talent.
Responsibilities
• Perform in-depth analysis of the production budgets, identify trends and needs, and provide recommendations to management, while working within budget parameters established by Corporate.
• Manage Award Submissions for ESPN Films, ESPN Short Films
• Oversee all Home Entertainment needs
• Provide Management with critical budgetary and operational requirements needed to manage resources and make programming decisions.
• Forecast and manage line item budgets for shows and initiatives.
• Work with Finance to track actuals, comparing against SAP reports, internal files, and finance estimates.
• Oversee invoice processing, payroll, expense reports, petty cash and per diem checks for freelancers and crew. Communicate with vendors regarding payment status.
• Act as liaison between the legal department and producers to execute contracts.
• Primary interface with Legal, Sales, Accounting, and Finance in regards to contracts and budgets.
• Manage project staffing for unscripted, documentaries, events, and other initiatives.
• Set up purchase orders and casual buyer functions in SAP as required.
• Research production vendors and negotiate rates and schedules when necessary.
• Manage logistics for crew hotels & travel.
• Secure insurance certificates.
• Develop show and project budgets
• Work closely with Director Production Management on contract processing and contractual payment management.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum three years production management experience
• Minimum two years overseeing and managing production budgets.
• Strong organization and communication skills
• One-to-two years documentary production experience from pre-production to delivery
• One-to-two years of experience working with production budgets and right & clearances.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Adobe
• College degree preferred
• Team player
Required Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
