Full Time Job
The Program Coordinator will plan and organize short and long range program schedules in the Content Scheduler and/or any other content management system as needed for multiple international TV and Digital networks that originate from ESPN's world headquarters in Bristol, CT. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Program Planning and assist them with short and long term program scheduling, guidelines/conditions, Power Point presentations and coordinate daily actualized schedules. The Program Coordinator will work in a fast-paced team environment, which requires individuals to establish partnerships with each member of the team and become a strong contributor to the achievement of departmental goals. The job provides for a unique opportunity to contribute at the ground-level while learning about the media/sports entertainment industry and pursuing a career path at Disney, ESPN, and beyond.
Responsibilities
• Works with Program Planning team to input long and short range program schedules in NCS and Content Scheduler or other content management system as needed for assigned international TV and digital networks
• Maintains detailed and accurate program schedules in NCS and Content Scheduler or other content management system as needed
• Executes and distributes program schedule changes
• Assists Program Planners with inputting of programming standby and guidelines
• Works with Production to confirm weekly live studio show schedules
• Reviews weekly schedules for PR communications
• Supports or conducts research and background reports to enhance the overall acquisition and planning efforts in a particular sports category
• Be part of a sport specific planning team(s)
Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrable superior communication, organization and computer skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to work under pressure with constantly changing deadlines in a team environment
• Strong sports knowledge required
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of the scope and operations of networks
• Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
