Full Time Job
This position is responsible for the production and operational needs of the ESPN Consumer Marketing/Creative Services department in New York. This position will deal directly with all members of the Creative Services Department and provide support and production assistance to producers and Creative personnel. In addition, the candidate is expected to provide production support and manpower for all of Consumer Marketing, when requested.
Responsibilities
• Primary duties include assisting producers prior to promo edit sessions, coordinating materials and resources necessary to producing on-air promos, screening clip reels, gathering materials for edit sessions and occasionally covering sessions throughout the day.
• Will work closely for senior creative staff, ensuring that all materials are in place for edit sessions.
• The Coordinator will also be given the opportunity to edit on our internal system, thus able to prepare presentation reels for marketing purposes.
• Will be responsible for ensuring our internal storage and video library is in working order, and be able to find any screening broadcast tapes when asked.
• Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating shoots both internal and remote on-site from time to time. This may include equipment rental, equipment inventory, booking travel and assisting producers in pre-production.
• The Production Coordinator will provide support in whatever capacity it is required. Everything from clipping footage, making dubs, internet research, and assist the scheduling of edit sessions with internal/external editing facilities fall into his/her purview.
• The Coordinator's role should evolve over time to where the candidate is the ''go-to'' person for any administrative production questions that arise.
• The hours will be long, but the candidate will be in a highly-charged learning environment.
• Even though it is in a support capacity, this is an integral position within the Marketing department.
• The candidate will be expected to perform at a high level after a reasonable period of indoctrination.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year in the television/film production business, preferably at a network or production facility.
• Candidate should have a basic understanding of Adobe Premiere, SAP, Quantel, Esearch In addition, candidate should be able to write clearly and consistently, and be able to handle multiple tasks in a highly pressurized environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• An interest in the creative aspects of advertising and film/television is required. Candidate will be collaborative; team oriented and is comfortable in a group atmosphere.
• In addition, candidate will be expected to have an interest and knowledge of sports, professional and collegiate.
Required Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
