Part Time Job
This position is Part Time.
Responsibilities
• Assists with and supports the radio production of assigned sports events.
• Assists ESPN Radio producers by generating story ideas, providing research materials for interviews, assisting with guest booking, producing show elements and occasionally operating the control board.
• Assists in the preparation of editorial material for ESPN Radio shows; works with research staff or independently to compile background information and statistical packets.
• Performs non-complex editing assignments.
• When directed, may operate the control board.
• When directed, creates audio highlight and can make limited, subjective decisions regarding the most appropriate audio cuts for ESPN Radio.
• Maintains portions of ESPN Radio tape archives.
• When directed, occasionally serves as an associate producer for non-complex radio productions.
• Researches assigned sports information and obtains materials necessary for aspects of productions.
• Implements semi-routine tasks to support production activities and ongoing productions.
• Work is subject to close scrutiny and is closely supervised and reviewed for timeliness, accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
• May perform assigned tasks to support semi-routine remote productions.
• Implements non-complex portions of the assigned concepts and content into sports news stories for ESPN Radio.
• When directed, creates audio highlight and can make limited, subjective decisions regarding the most appropriate audio cuts for ESPN Radio.
• May contribute to creative concepts.
Basic Qualifications
• A minimum of 1 year in production, collegiate, or related experience.
Required Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
