Full Time Job
The Revenue Product Manager will lead the ideation, planning and execution of ESPN revenue products including ESPN Insider and derivative products. The role will be charged with understanding and implementing solutions for mobile and other payment products, revenue producing tools on both ESPN.com, ESPN app and ESPN fantasy products, and user flow and funnel optimization. This role is part of the ESPN Product Management team within Digital and Print Media and will be dedicated to enhancing existing Insider products and launching new products and concepts on both web and mobile platforms. The role will report to the Sr. Product Manager, Ad and Revenue Products.
This role is responsible for all user facing features including, but not limited to, payments, funnel creation and optimization, UI and UX testing, A/B testing and optimization, email campaign creation, user landing page creation and optimization and content marketing vehicles and creative. This role will also manage other assigned areas as required in support of producing the best possible fan experience for all ESPN users.
The right candidate must be able to set and articulate a strong product vision that aligns with business objectives, and execute the plan to perfection in partnership with Engineering, Design, Content, Marketing, Consumer Data Management, and Sales. He/she may be called upon to represent the Product team's perspective to the rest of ESPN on revenue and ad issues. As such, presentation skills and presence are a must.
The candidate must possess a strong data-driven mindset and have experience working on consumer-facing products and conversion funnel optimization for a customer-facing Web site or mobile application.
The role is based in ESPN's headquarters in Bristol, CT.
Responsibilities
• Play a key role in defining the roadmap for ESPN Insider and revenue products.
• Facilitate the ideation and development of new features and functionality.
• Translate strategy and product vision into project deliverables with launch targets.
• Work with senior management to set KPIs and reports out regularly to stakeholders on progress.
• Work closely with Design, Product, Engineering, Content, Marketing, and Ad Sales partners on a variety of projects to drive usage and create delightful experiences for consumers.
• Work with product, design and technology teams to produce product requirements and own related documentation.
• Owner of product requirements documents, user flows, experiences and designs.
• Follow market trends to determine new or enhanced product capabilities that positively impact fan experience
• Balance the priorities of a diverse group of stakeholders.
• With design, project management and technology partners, manages product through the product development process: from concept to prototype to testing to launch.
• Responsible for thinking about the product across all screens and environments.
• Responsible for working across product organization and integrating with shared products (ie social, login, etc).
• Collaborate with technology and operations on day-to-day product maintenance and features.
Basic Qualifications
• 3 years of professional experience in a consumer-oriented digital media company with direct Product Management leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge driving product development, preferably on a customer facing mobile app and ideally with accountability for user flow, funnel optimization and retention.
• High level of comfort communicating with executives inside and outside of ESPN, including strategic partners.
• Familiarity and passion around consumer Web and native mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, etc).
• High energy and capable of multi-tasking.
• Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross organizationally.
• Process driven and extremely detail oriented.
• 2 years Product Management Experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Passionate sports fan and regular user of ESPN products and services
• Experience in Ecommerce or other direct response businesses.
• Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and analytical thinking.
• Strong analytical skills using Omniture, Localytics, Google Analytics or related software.
Required Education
• High School Diploma.
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's Degree.
