Part Time Job
The Part Time Promotions Assistant for KSPN 710 - AM Radio will assist the Promotions Director in the execution of Station events and promotions. Some responsibilities of a Promotions Assistant include: on site event logistics, set up and tear down of promo equipment, interaction with fans at events, contest winner fulfillment, social media execution, ideation of new promotions and campaigns, sales one sheets and recaps.
Hours will vary from 0 to 29 hours a week.
Responsibilities
• Update department promotional calendars, spreadsheets and event paperwork per the direction of Marketing Director.
• Event Planning: Assist with scheduling of staff, planning on-site logistics, oversight of promotions team at
• events.
• Contest prize fulfillment: select and contact contest winners, coordinate winners sheets, release forms and tax forms
• Update and manage contest winner database
• Maintain and update radio home page, contest page and e-newsletter
• Participate in the ideation of new campaigns and promotions with the goal of driving revenue and ratings
• Help post and produce content for @espnlosangeles social media accounts
• Complete sales promotions one sheets and recaps.
Basic Qualifications
• The ideal candidate must have a general knowledge of the sports landscape.
• Key characteristics include: detailed oriented, professional attitude, self-motivated and flexible approach with a can-do attitude.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and basic knowledge of Photoshop.
• Must be available in a variety of hours: work weekdays, imperative for nights/weekends and occasional early hours, and some holidays. Have a good driving record; and be able to lift at least seventy-five (75) pounds.
Required Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree: Marketing, Communications, Business, Sports Management or other related field.
